Kollsman Avionics has a long and distinguished history in the development, manufacture, and certification of avionics instruments for commercial and military aircraft. Following Jimmy Doolittle's famed "blind flight," Kollsman went on to become a world leader in the development and production of a wide range of high quality, reliable flight instruments.
WE have supplied instruments to virtually every major commercial and military airframe manufacturer in the western world. Our customer list includes every commercial airline as well. Since establishment of the company in 1928, Kollsman has produced literally hundreds of thousands of altimeters, airspeed indicators, standby instruments, and an endless variety of other air data systems. Many thousands of these instruments are still operating today and will continue to do so for many years to come.
Our current product line still includes production of many air data instruments whose design is based on the fundamental technology first demonstrated by Paul Kollsman over 75 years ago.
Current production instruments, as well as a long list of those which are no longer in production, will continue to be supported by Kollsman' well established worldwide network of repair and overhaul facilities, including the FAA-certified facility at our headquarters in Merrimack, NH.
