Cabin Pressurization Control System (CPCS)

The Kollsman Autoschedule Cabin Pressurization Control System (KAPS) combines more than thirty years of cabin pressure experience with modern solid-state technology. Designed to minimize cost, weight, and panel space, this system meets the needs of advanced business and commuter aircraft.

The autoschedule controller simplifies management of the pressurization system and significantly reduces pilot workload. On the ground, the controller keeps the aircraft safely depressurized. Any time before takeoff or during cruise, the pilot may set the landing field elevation on the controller. After takeoff, the cabin altitude will be scheduled to minimize the pressure change experienced by passengers and crew.

KAPS II System:

The KAPS II System is largely based on the proven technology used in the KAPS I System, with aggressive improvements in weight, reliability and cost. KAPS II consists of an autoschedule controller that can be located most anywhere on the aircraft; redundant, common outflow valves; and a manual toggle valve. This system does not require external sources of vacuum or pressure, providing further reductions in total installed weight. Designed to interface easily with aircraft display systems, KAPS II is an ideal choice for today's digital cockpits.
