Kollsman Named a "Best Company to Work For"

February 13, 2007 Breakfast Will Honor Best Employers in New Hampshire

MERRIMACK, NH, February 12, 2007 – Kollsman, Inc., an Elbit Systems of America, LLC company, was cited as one of New Hampshire's 10 best companies in the annual competition by Business NH Magazine (www.businessnhmagazine.com) and NH Businesses for Social Responsibility (www.nhbsr.org). Kollsman won this award because of its culture that makes employees feel valued and helps them balance their job responsibilities with demands outside work.

Kollsman, a manufacturer of electro-optical and avionics systems for customers in commercial aviation, defense and homeland security, was selected from several hundred entries in the list of the best large companies. The field was narrowed to 10 finalists after a comprehensive site visit and evaluation of company cultures, employee development programs, mission statements, benefits, turnover rates, workplace philosophies and best practices. A variety of judges, including Business NH Magazine staff, and CEOs and human resources professionals throughout the state, made the final selections.

According to Business NH Magazine's December 2006 issue, "while benefits are obviously important, the winning companies shared two strategies: making employees at all levels feel valued and recognizing that today's employees are struggling to balance family and work. Companies that can ease that struggle through flexible scheduling, job sharing, home offices, and a strong benefits package see increased productivity and earn employee loyalty." The publication cited Kollsman's financial incentive program for meeting established goals, medical and dental insurance for domestic partners, and a flight training program among the many benefits the company offers.

Commenting on the recognition, Kollsman Executive Vice President and General Manager Randy Moore says "The high level of precision that goes into our products and services requires that we have the best people, and this in turn demands that we provide attractive benefits for them. This award demonstrates that we have the right mix of satisfied, motivated employees and the best environment for them to succeed."

In partnership with NH Businesses for Social Responsibility, Business NH Magazine will host the winning companies at a "Breakfast With the Best" forum on February 13, 2007 at the Center of New Hampshire in Manchester, NH.
